Comes Home
At the beginning of the 20th century, this site held one of Tel Aviv's very first homes — built by Avraham Chaim and Chava Rogovin of the Second Aliyah. Their granddaughter, Ziporah Freedberg, grew up here until 1934 when her family emigrated to the United States. She carried a lifelong longing to return.
She passed away in Stamford, Connecticut, in 2013. Her children have now rebuilt Beit Ziporah on the exact spot — in her memory, so that she may forever be at home.
